FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH DOES IN/OUT STORAGE COST?
The Inside Rack Storage fees are based upon the length, height and width of your boat. Measure the boat from the highest point of the boat to the ground while the boat is sitting on a trailer. The width of your boat will be listed in your owner’s manual, or can be measured at its widest point. With these three dimensions, the staff will be able to give you an estimate of your storage rent.
Outside cradle storage is based upon the total over-all length of your boat, including bow pulpit and swim platform. The per foot charge can be quoted by our staff.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER COSTS?
The marina collects a deposit. This deposit will be returned upon receipt of one month’s notice that the boat is leaving the marina.
HOW DO I PAY THE STORAGE FEE?
Customers are billed monthly. Payment by check or credit card is due by the fifth of the month. When a new customer comes to the marina, a partial month will be pro-rated.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU PUT THE BOAT IN THE WATER?
We will launch your boat once a day. We need one hour advance notice of your arrival, no later than 3:00PM.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE BOAT IS TAKEN OUT OF THE WATER?
The staff washes the bottom, scrubs the water line, flushes the engines, turns off the battery, finishes securing the canvas and puts the boat away.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
We are open every day except Christmas. We launch boats between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00PM.
WHAT IF I WANT MY BOAT LAUNCHED OUTSIDE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?
You may call us before 3:00 PM any day and we will put your boat in the water by 4:00 PM and leave it at a finger pier for your late evening or early morning arrival.
WHAT TIME DO I HAVE TO RETURN MY BOAT?
You return your boat when you are finished boating for the day. If we cannot take it out of the water when it is returned, we will do so as soon as possible the next day.
WHERE DO I PUT MY BOAT WHEN I RETURN?
There are eight finger piers along the sea wall. If they are filled, boats may be left at the seawall docks by the office and in front of the restaurant.
DO YOU HAVE WET SLIPS AVAILABLE FOR OVERNIGHT DOCKAGE?
We have a limited number of wet slips available at a discounted price for rack/cradle customers. These can be reserved three days in advance. We cannot guarantee slips, but we do our best to accommodate the requests.
DO YOU HAVE TRAILER STORAGE?
Yes. The monthly fee for single-axle trailers is $35.00 and double-axle is $50.00.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A HURRICANE?
You are not required to remove your boat. It is recommended that you check that there are no loose items in or on your boat. Make sure your insurance is current.
Out side Rack storage prices:
Boats under 9’ wide and 12’ high =$7.00 ft
Boats over 9’ wide =$8.00 ft
More than one in/out per day will cost $45.00
