Living in Florida, it’s easy to get distracted by the beaches, rocket launches, beautiful weather, and laid-back atmosphere, but if you look a little more closely, you’d be surprised what else is going on right here on our Space Coast!
Usually filmed in Indialantic, FL, just 30 miles south of Cape Canaveral, regional TV show Live with Lori: Political Food for Thought is taking the show onto the high seas! A public policy entertainment program, the show features a unique mixture of non partisan political banter and delicious home-cooked recipes, with no shortage of great seafood dishes. Imagine our senators, US and state reps, and other elected officials getting out of the office and into the kitchen with one of our own Space Coast residents.
The show just announced that they are filming 3 South Florida officials on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas, which sails out of Ft. Lauderdale. The guests include Representative Jose R. Oliva, Senator Oscar Braynon, and Representative Jose Felix Diaz.
Live with Lori has featured some really excellent seafood recipes, including Banana Bacon Grouper, Spicy Shrimp, Rum Raisin Fish, and lots more. Click below to check out an episode from Season 3, featuring Braised Grouper with Greek Stew, a recipe from Winter Park, FL’s famous restaurant, The Ravenous Pig.
Learn a new great recipe and also get some insight into the guest of the day. Somehow putting a spatula in their hands makes these officials seem more like real people and less like rehearsed personalities. The show just wrapped up its third season in December, but all of the Live with Lori episodes can be viewed on livewithlori.com.
